Still looking for the perfect retreat that offers both relaxation and adventure? Then the Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel in Székesfehérvár is definitely the place for you! Not only did I spend relaxing days by the lake but also experienced the warm Hungarian culture up close.
Comfort that inspires
As soon as I entered the Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel, I immediately felt welcome. The modern and stylish furnishings make you feel right at home.
Cozy rooms
I stayed in one of the comfortable rooms, which are equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay – from air conditioning to a private coffee machine, I was fully catered for here. My highlight: the pillow selection. As an allergy sufferer, I was more than thrilled that I could ask for an allergy-friendly alternative at reception. You can also request neck-supporting pillows here.
Culinary Delights
The breakfast buffet was an absolute highlight. From fresh bread rolls to Hungarian specialties – there’s something for every taste. The best feature: the view! From the restaurant, you can look out directly over the glistening surface of the lake. So all early birds can enjoy their coffee with a fabulous sunrise over the lake.
Relax in the sauna at the Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel
After an active day at the lake, the sauna invites you to a relaxing visit. You don’t need to worry about cuddly soft bathrobes here – they are provided by the hotel. For me, the Finnish sauna was the perfect place to end a magical day at the lake in a deeply relaxing way!
Work with a view
Bleisure is given a whole new meaning here. The hotel’s three business rooms can accommodate up to 80 people in total and offer the perfect backdrop for productive planning meetings thanks to the inspiring view. Extend your time out by the lake and unwind after energy-sapping conferences.
Székesfehérvár – Historc city full of charme
The best thing about the Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel? The location! Central yet quiet, the location promises short distances to both the city center of Székesfehérvár and the lake. A little bonus: You can reach Budapest in under 50 minutes by car for a magical day trip.
Old town and basilica in Székesfehérvár
Bory Castle
Bory Castle is no ordinary castle, but a real work of art! Architect and sculptor Jenő Bory spent over 40 years building this fairytale structure with his own hands – as a declaration of love to his wife. With its seven towers, romantic gardens and countless statues, the castle tells a unique story. The observation tower also offers you a fantastic view of the city and its surroundings.
Picturesque lake
The Best Western Plus Hotel Lakeside is located directly on the banks of the Csónakázó Tó. Apart from the breathtaking lake view, you have numerous opportunities for leisure activities here without having to travel far. Apart from cycling or jogging, you can feed the ducks, go pedal boating, fishing or simply enjoy a breathtaking sunrise or sunset.
The Best Western Plus Lakeside Hotel was a real surprise for me. The rooms, its excellent location and the charming town of Székesfehérvár are a real insider tip for your next trip to Hungary far off the beaten track. Here you won’t find comfort, relaxation and the ultimate opportunity to experience Hungarian culture up close.
