In aligning with the rugged aesthetic of motorsports, the architecture of Hotel FREIgeist Einbeck places a strong emphasis on design. The incorporation of red clinker brick, steel elements, and expansive glass fronts immediately evoked an “industrial” ambiance upon my entry, leaving a striking impression. Lotsof natural light and authentic wood floors contribute to a warm and inviting atmosphere, adding a touch of homeliness and coziness to the overall experience.
Rooms and furnishings at Hotel FREIgeist Einbeck
When it comes to the furnishings, you can literally feel how much sensitivity has gone into selecting and assembling individual pieces. I am impressed by the variety and the wealth of detail that is obviously important here. From repurposed motorcycle lamps with a history to a reception desk crafted from a retired aircraft engine, captivating stylistic elements abound at every turn, contributing to a rich and diverse tapestry of design.
The rooms also consistently follow the design style. My highlight? The mix of state-of-the-art equipment including Bluetooth speakers and rustic wooden elements, such as the headboard of the bed. A notable add-on is the picturesque view of the P.S. Speicher, adding an extra layer of charm and earning additional points for the overall experience.

With its 2,500 exhibits, the P.S. Speicher is Europe’s largest classic car museum. Here you can admire the automotive history of the past decades as well as get active yourself and take a spin in the classic car simulator or the Porsche racing simulator.
For those who prefer hands-on experiences, the option to rent classic and vintage cars adds an exciting dimension. During my visit, I had the pleasure of driving a charming old VW Beetle for an entire day at the reasonable rate of 220 euros, which also included a day ticket to explore the museum!
Motorcycle vacation at the biker hotel
I prefer to travel on 4 wheels, but the hotel is a popular base camp for bikers embarking on day trips in and around the Harz Mountains. No wonder, because the hotel has its own lockable garages for motorcycles, available for rent at a reasonable rate of 15 euros per day. The strategic location adds to the appeal, making it an ideal starting point for unforgettable biking excursions through the picturesque Harz region.
